Match Cut practice
The task for this project was to create a sequence of match cuts. The plot for this short sequence is a normal day to day conversation between two friends. We needed to cover the following camera work:
- Match Cut
- 180 Degree rule
- shot reverse shot
- two shot
- close up
I feel that we have successfully done these objectives in the space of time that were given to us. There were a lot of obstacles while filming this scene. For example getting the shot right and making sure that the action matches and making it flow was hard, but thankfully we have a great editor. I was in charge of filming and directing this scene, but everyone in the group contributed a lot in filming this. The way I wanted to film this scene is to capture the normality and flow of a normal day. The use of long shot, extreme close up on the feet while walking up, and another long shot creates a continuous flow.
