During class we watched the opening sequence to Memento and analysed different aspects of it. The genre of the film is a phsycological thriller. During the title sequence the only action we see is played backwards. It starts with a developed photograph which gradually becomes less and less developed. This opening sequence is recognised as titles on a plain background followed by a narrative opening. It starts off with its production company which is Summit Entertainment. We recognise this to be a low budget movie.
