Photo word activity

As a group we had to choose from a list of many words. From those words we chose four to photograph. Here, is the picture for the word 'electrify'.

Before we photographed this photo we had an idea to have someone in a suit made of electrical things such as phones and wires. Had we have had enough recoures it may have worked very well, but as we didn't have anyway to make a suit made from elecrical good we chose to use the static from a television to illustrate this.

This picture conforms very well to the 'thriller' concept we were aiming for. The lighting or rather, the lack of lighting adds to the intensity and the drama of the photo. The only lighting coming from the television asks the question, "Why is the television on and the lights are not?". It is very ominous; it makes the audience feel as if something is going to happen, that the figure is going to go into the television, have an electric shock or even something will come out of it. The dark figure also adds to the thrilling concept. If the shot was well lit it wouldn't be as thrilling as it is.
